Moving to new offices

Prox Dynamics relocates to new offices in October. We still have the same visiting and postal addresses, but have outgrown the old offices and lab. With twelve people on board we need more space. The new offices have been built to our specifications and requirements with a layout designed to support an effective development process including a very well equipped lab. In addition we have the infrastructure in place for future growth.

Stepping up the pace

All new team members are now on board and well aligned to the tasks ahead. Having focused on the flying platforms for the first year we are now working on the different parts of the complete system. This includes:

• Video processing
• Radio link
• Ground control station hardware and software
• Aerodynamic optimisation
• System simulations
• New prototypes and UAV mechanics
• Detailed development and project plans

All these activities will be stitched together to form the first complete system prototypes in early 2010.

Simulation model delivered

Prox Dynamics has delivered the first version of a PD-100 Black Hornet simulation model to an undisclosed partner. This will be used to test and evaluate system functionality and efficiency. It will eventually evolve into a complete Man-in-the-Loop simulator using actual GCS hardware.

Prox Dynamics to the European Commission

Prox Dynamics has been invited along with other UAS companies and users to attend a hearing on Light UAS at the European Commission on October 8th. This is a follow up of our participation in the WG73 SG4 within the framework of UVS International.
