The Black Hornet
The last few weeks have been very busy and we are currently finalizing the specification for our first product, the PD-100 Black Hornet.
The Black Hornet is a small video camera equipped helicopter not more than 100 mm long, weighing less than 20 grams. The helicopter and controller is carried in your pocket and can be launched within seconds to give you immediate situational awareness. New and innovative advances in micro flight technology, micro sized electronic sensors and groundbreaking battery performance are combined to make this new ultra small aircraft a handy tool in situations where a closer look at a hostile area or inside a contaminated building is crucial.

A complete Black Hornet system (controller and 3 helicopters) can be carried by one man:
Total weight (0.7 kg)
Low volume (8 x 12 x 20 cm)
Ready to fly (in the air within one minute)
The Prox Dynamics team
The team developing the PD-100 helicopter is also the founder-team of Prox Dynamics. Petter Muren, Trygve Marton, Dag Henning Paulsen and Geir Morten Mellem are all very experienced in technical development, product design and management:
